Coffee in Cebu

Just moved to Cebu.  Looking for where a group may meet for coffee. In the Ayala Mall area.
Abaca is my favorite because they have good food (although expensive), but there are at least 5 coffeeshops that are large enough, right in Ayala Mall.
Yes, thanks. I have been to most. Just looking for a morning group that meets for coffee and solves the world's problems. 😁

Not to be confused with the far superior coffee bean Arabica ;)

I am (like Paul in Dumaguete) a self confessed coffee addict. Have not been to Cebu city for a while but last time I was there I stayed at the Marriott which is about a 3 minute walk to Ayala Mall. I regularly used a coffee shop in the main lobby area of the Mall where I remember often seeing a group of expats meeting up.
On one occasion I 'spotted' a Filipina on her own at a table reading a book. This engaged my curiosity as sadly very few Filipinos read. She was very cute. I caught her eye and for 30 minutes we would occasionally eye ball each other but she was very diffident. I noticed that she was reading a Jane Austen novel. The 18th century author made her home in my resident city of Bath. So I approached her and complimented her on her literary taste stating where I was from. We ended up having a great relationship and she was my personal escort and guide to the charming island of Bohol :)

@Lotus Eater If you ever get the chance to try Vietnamese Egg Coffee, go for it, extremely delicious.

Sounds great. I'll try anything once. Is it a bit like Eggnog but with coffee replacing the alcohol?

Goodness gracious me, it will NEVER bother me,  if anyone here promoting their businesses or whatever. And especially you have no idea, if  that person uses the profits to contributes and do things for charity and good causes towards the locals, which I bloody do!

Frankly, I promote, and say what I like and it's not hurting anyone, at all.

Good day and kindness goes along way in life indeed.

Coffee ☕️.  I'm down to 6 lbs of my favorite French Roast whole beans.  What will I doooo? I need to find the darkest, blackest, oilyest, bean in the Philippines.  My next care package/Balikbayan box will include 18 lbs but that's months away!

S&R has Kirkland Ground Dark Roast 3lbs . . . . . P1299

(Kirkland is a Costco private brand made by Starbucks)

@Enzyte Bob thanks for the tip. I prefer beans as I use a French Press.  Starbucks French Roast isn't horrible.  But not as dark and oily bean as I prefer. I like uber strong coffee. But with body.  Though it will do in a pinch.

Hello everyone,

Let us get back to the initial topic please.

Indeed promoting services/business is not allowed on the forum. New members should read the PHILIPPINES FORUM CODE OF CONDUCT before participating on the forum.

I don't know whether the OP has found a place where people may gather for coffee. If he has/had, we would be interested to know where.

All the best
