Umrah Plan with new rules

AA,

Planning fora trip on Umrah by car, I heard there are some new rules that you can not drive to Makkah, and you have to park your vechicle some where before MAKKAH and from there you have to take a Shettle service, Is any one experience this...

Dear Syed,

This is the same rule every Ramadan.

You will drive almost all the way to Makkah, past the Miqaat, about 2 km before the Haram Boundary sign, you will asked to leave your car. (Its a secure car park) and the buses will take you to Kaaba.

Its easy, otherwise you will be held up in traffic in Makkah for hours.
