Misdemeanors found on criminal background check

mreverything1
Applying for an Amparo visa, my background check found 3 misdemeanor arrests dating back many years. One of them appears to be unresolved, but there is no longer any curther records to be found in the county where the misdemeanor was commited.

Ho much of a concern are misdemeanors and how do I proceed?

This might be a question for a professional.  I would ask an attorney in Ecuador.  I have some hazy recollection of something about misdemeanors within five years, but I don't think that was on the Amparo visa, and that might be five years past everything having been resolved.  Part of the issue is the question of what "unresolved" means.  Were the charges dismissed?  Can you get a statement it was?  (Was that in a "speedy trial" state, which doesn't let charges just hang in mid-air forever?)  Can you at least get a statement from the office of the state's attorney that no trial is pending and you have no outstanding warrant?

My longtime immigration attorney in Ecuador,
Sebastian Cordero, is current on this stuff.

You can likely get his take, gratis .. and
if you choose to work with him, he'll set
you up for success 'a la larga'.

His email is sebascordero1975(at)gmail.com

Use the @ instead of (at), which I employ
as a proxy to bypass the site's editor bot.

Sr. Cordero is perfectly bilingual.
