A couple of days ago, I sent an email and they told me that the waiting time is 28 months.
I do not know why they even opened this visa program, it does not make sense.
The number of this year 6 months is half of the last year 6 months,
interest dropped significantly and I do not think people would waste their time and money for this.
Dates Received Decided Awaiting

@mike2020s
28 months just for this kind of visa? Are they kiding?
Yes, you are right, it is nonsense to keep this visa open. It is just wasting our time and money.

Yeah, it is unbelievable, I did question how the program is a year old and they are already projecting it to two years process? Unfortunately, no answer received.
But looking at the increment of work visa applications, this year (May) number is doubling previous months, I kinda think, it is going to be a long journey.
Here is today's stats.

Hey,
Yeah, when I sent an email questioning about my case, this was the response I got:
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your e-mail.
No decision has been made and the case has not yet been assigned to any decision-making case officer. We can not answer in advance when the decision will be made as the processing consist of several elements that take different lengths of time. If we need further information, we will contact you. Otherwise, please wait.
The estimated waiting time for 75% of applications is 28 months.

When I questioned how the program happens to be less than a year old would have 28 months processing time, I got no response.
I had a chat with the person who got the visa, here is what he roughly told me.
He bought insurance twice - comprehensive insurance, 6 months, 6 months. He applied back in August 2022 and got the visa in June 2023, but around the end of March the migration agency contacted him advising him that they are going to contact his university to verify his documents, then at the time he made sure that his insurance is updated and advised the agent - as they were in contact already. He had a master degree in business.
From what I learnt, if you graduated from a good university (known), and paid for a comprehensive insurance by fulfilling all the requirements as stated on their website (nothing missing), and you have enough cash to take care yourself - they ask 13K SEK a month, but if you can make it 20K SEK a month and match with the time you want to be there, then you should be fine.
It doesn't make sense to keep an open insurance you do not need running. As for me, I have told my insurance to keep the same quote, once I am contacted, I will just pay and update migrationsverket - it will be a matter of a few hours.
My comprehensive insurance was around 2500 Euros a year - discounted (I can cancel it anytime and be refunded the unused cash). I have to be in Sweden for it to be activated, that is why it was cancelled and given advise, once I am contacted I have to directly call my insurance agent to pay and reactivate it (the cancelled insurance was from May 2023 to May 2024, I think they will still see that I am able to pay at least, my allowance was okay as well). That's all I can share from my side, and if you happen to know anyone else who got it, then you can as well share their story with us.
Hope you gonna make it there and increase the number of acceptance - still 5.9%, this is terribly low.
Cheers,
M.
Are you trying to say that all the cases received after June 2022 were rejected. How is that possible.

@mike2020s
Hey! I'm curious about which insurance you bought since it seems like we have to buy insurance that allows us to change the start date after the permit is issued. Besides, I am also curious about which insurance the person who got the permit successfully bought - if you know this. Thank you very much!

I am not quite sure where you read these information.

Hi Laura,
I think you have misunderstood me, when they are going to study your case they will contact you. Then you can update or renew your insurance. I bought cigna global silver plan with additional packages to complete the immigration list. The insurance is active in no later than 45 days. So we decided to put the quote on hold until I am contacted instead of renewing it again and again...
His insurance was TATA AIG Travel guard policy, silver package.
From October 2022 to March 2023, and he renewed it from July 2023 to December 2023.
On the 30 March 2023 immigration agent contacted him that they are going to verify his education credentials - then he updated the agent with the new policy later on during the process.
Cheers,
V.

The latest information I have on 8 September, 119 accepted.
In 2022 alone, they received 2259 and only 578 were still awaiting. As you can see the number of applications have dropped significantly.
Migrationsveket has a Facebook page you can ask directly these statistics in comment section - under the posts, they usual reply in a very few hours.
Even if the post is talking about something else, ask general questions (Not specific questions about your case).
Cheers!
Ohh great, tnx my freind
I just got decision from Swedish Migration Agency. I applied on April 4, 2023. On October 5, I sent a request to conclude a case. I got a refusal today. But I plan to appeal within 3 weeks
@GoatHead, what was the reason? Why do you need to conclude the case? what is the purpose of conclude this case? will it speed up the process.
Is there any new statistics update for this type of visa?
@mike2020s

Hi
How long did it take to get the response?
@Skytrei Hi! Did you receive your permit? I'm applying with Cigna Global Gold, but heard that they might require you to have 0 deductible (mine currently has a $500 deductible for outpatient services). It'd be great to hear more about your experience!
@mike2020s Hi mike, I was wondering if you Cigna Silver plan with additional benefits was accepted and approved by the Migrationsverket. Thanks.
