Hi everyone, I'm actually looking at properties in Dolna lipnitsa next week. I just wanted to speak with someone who is living in that area and ask how do you find the village etc? Many thanks, Sven

Hi Sven,

I will message you loads of great details in the morning if that’s ok Sir ?

love living there though !

@svenknobel

afternoon Sven, apologies for the later reply - busy at work !

so, I’d say firstly, if you’re looking at properties in Dolna Lipnitsa then find a place with a well. It’s well documented about the water supply in the village.

Im lucky though, our water is always on !

the main road has been resurfaced and is a pleasure to drive on. We have 2 small shops but unfortunately our petrol station had to close. Nearest petrol is in Pavlikeni ( 12k away ).

Its a quiet village with more and more people deciding to live there. It’s very multicultural with lots of different nationalities living there.

internet is still good - not brilliant but good enough for watching Netflix on etc.

most houses have had new supply cable for electricity supplied with the meters in the street - so they don’t have to enter your house to read the meter.

water is very cheap too. Costs us about £2 a month.

look at properties with a walled or well fenced garden. A well is a must though !!!

if I think of anything else, I’ll reply again.

we love living in Dolna though. So lucky to find our house here.

There is also a petrol station between Polski Trambesh and Klimentovo although it looks shutdown it is open.

I hope you find a good house, Sven! I don't live there but it was one of the areas I was considering. It seems as if it would be a nice place to live.

Hello Robert, We are looking for a house in Dolna Lipnitsa. What do you mean about the whatersupply in the village. Is it not regular? Do we need a well? How deep do we have to dig and whats the price? Thanks and kind regards, Doreen

mickg

Hello Doreen, we know people living there and they comment about the water supply gets cut off regulary at certain times of the day, cannot remember times.

We have a house in Klimentovo which is connected by same through road about 15 km away and we dont have the same issue.

Dont know reason why their supply gets restricted.

Cannot give any info on wells, maybe someone with knowledge on site can help.

Hello mickg, thank you very much for your reply. That to know helps us. We look forward to move to bulgaria in a few weeks. Greatings Doreen

Doreen, many village houses in that area will already have a well, so it's unlikely you'd need to arrange for one to be dug. Definitely better to buy a house with one already there, and it's worth asking how reliable it is, as some may go dry in summer. The estate agent may not know, but the neighbours should be able to tell you.

Hello Jane, thank you for that info. After living for a year in very dry parts of spain, of the grid, we may take it easy. We just see :-), greatings Doreen
