Working in Luxembourg

Hello, my name is Lillian a national of Uganda. I wonder whether it's possible yet easy for me to have a family that can have me as their baby sitter in Luxembourg! If possible, can that family help me with Visa processing? Because I have tried to use agents and have ended up being cheated when they took my money yet didn't help me with the goal I have. Thank you.

Hello Lillian,

I would think that it will not be easy for a family to sponsor you specially as you are not from an EU country. Authorities would probably not grant such a visa.

The best way is to have solid qualifications and degrees to offer your candidacy in a labour market where there is shortage of skills.

Have a look at the articles under the Work in Luxembourg section of the Guide.

All the best

Bhavna

@Bhavna  thanks for the reply. However the problem I may find then is that my qualifications lie in the premises of the law. And yes Ugandan laws may differ from those of Luxembourg. So how best do you think I can go about it dear

What qualifications and diplomas do you have ? A degree in law ?

Regards

@Bhavna I hold a diploma in law.

is there any way you can study further to a Bachelor or a Master degree with another specialisation/field ?

@Bhavna  I currently have no funds to extend my education. I had pushed harder by the way to a degree level. In my country Uganda it takes 5 years to have a law degree. But I stopped in the 3rd year I didn't even finish the 3rd year due to funds. That's why I resorted to working. I so much wanted to go out of Uganda and look for greener pastures but ops! Agents stole my money.
