Yes, registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is mandatory for the issuance of work permit (Iqama).

Obviously, Jawazat is red X because you do not have Iqama yet from MOI. To resolve the issue of Jawazat red X, log-on in your SCE account once you receive the Iqama ID card and click update Jawazat. Enter your iqama details and pay the SCE bill through SADAD ATM or online banking system.

It can take more than two weeks.

Yes, I have submitted Attested OD document. and other required documents

I came KSA with Engineer visa on May 2022

Did not get Iqama yet . There is lot of problem in Mosassa .

So I resigned on 19 july 2022.

My kafeel told me that for exit proceed need SCE

I want to know that is this nesessary for exit .

NO NO. SEC IS NOT NEEDED AT ALL FOR EXIT.

BUT IF U CAME ON ENGINEER VISA, DONT GO BACK.

SEARCH ANOTHER JOB AND GET TRANSFER FROM KAFEEL

i came to ksa as an engineering visa.  while my sponser try to get iqama, they said that cant issuse iqama without sce registration but sce has rejected my request without 5 year experiace.

may i change proffesion as a technicain catecary ?

if there is any option please let me know me it is big help for me

I came to Saudi on the 7th November, submitted documents for SCE and paid 500 already on the 8th November. Still waiting for them, just took so long to get it done...

@ssmmed92 Hello, when did you finish your undergraduation? I think if you have 5 years gap from your undergraduation degree, you can still go ahead with engineer category visa.

I worked with business visa in KSA for 4 years for a foreign company. Now i transfered to Saudi company and want to get Iqama. I was home and I got visa as a mechanical engineer. Now to get iqama they told me that i need to get membership in SCE.  I have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

My question is do I just need to submit required documents or do I need also to pass some kind of engineering exam? Because I am getting different information from different people, and no one in my company knows. I my job is more like a technician than engineer but I got visa as engineer.

Can someone please explain because there are a lot of different contradicting information online.

Hello,

Yes, you need to submit the required documents.

You need to attest your degree and marking sheets from your Education Department (Ministry or whatever highest authority in your country).

And from your Ministry of foreign affairs, Saudi Embassy in your home country and saudi culture.

Do that as quickly as possible (find some agent in your home country, it will make the process fast).

Then, submit everything to SCE with passport and company's letter explaining your job position.

And you will get the membership and after that if SCE asks, there will be a short exam on the next renewal of your iqama.

I am a Software Engg and my SCE registration was done on 22nd Dec, 2022 but till now i.e 6th Jan,2023 the Jawazat updated field is in Red (X). I am new here and I don't have an Iqama yet. If anyone of you can please answer how many days it usually takes to get that approved and if it is mandatory to register in SCE to get a new Iqama. Well, my company has uploaded all the docs and also paid 500 SAR.

You need company/ employer in-kingdom to register with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE). Refer to item 5.

1- Original Bachelor of Science Degree (4~5 years course) Certificate. Physically attended in College or University school

2- Full academic transcript including all courses from the first to the last level

3- The Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) Letter of Authorization and Confirmation with the name, date and signature on it

4- Clear copy of the full entry visa including all data or a clear copy of the accommodation permit Iqama ID card

5- A recent letter of introduction certified by the Commercial Chamber from the engineer's employer

6- Clear copy of passport

7- Appropriate personal photo

8- Minimum five (5) years continuous work experience as Mechanical Engineer

i came to ksa on ENGINEER visa and did not made IQMA till now and dont want to continue in ksa and willing to go back to india on exit. i have not even done SEC

My company tried to apply exit in system but its showing SEC is missing and get exit rejected

Is it necessary now days who ever is  coming in engineer visa need to register SEC even if he want exit even though IQMA is not done

I have come to Saudi with Engineer Visa, my certificate attestation is under process in India, now can i get Iqama? or I have to get my attested certificate then register with SCE and then only i can get Iqama? can you please advise?

I hold Bachelor of Computer science degree and I came to saudi as a construction worker, as I have experience in handling task related to Large Corporate IT Network. I got job in Technology company  as pre-sales, where i need to understand customer requirements and recommend routers, switches and firewalls accordingly… Later i registered with SCE as Computer Network Technician, got my final approval with my diplomas and certifications. Did no submit degree as it was not attested.

After i got my final approval from SCE , i request my Kafeel to change my profession from Construction worker to Anything. He deducted SAR.2000/- from my salary for the change and after somedays, the profession change to Network management Specialist on my iqama. But the Jawazat has always been RED X,

it never turned green ever.. its been almost a year now.

My task are non technical, just explaining the features of network devices to customer.

is that is the reason that my profession on my iqama “NETWORK MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST” some it show “Network Administrator” is a non technical profession? Doesn't required SCE Registration for this ?

@Rajuchoudhury for professional job and  as per your designation SCE registration do required. You can visit jawazat office and check what is the issue. Better take someone who knows Arabic if you can't don't know the language.

@engrali hi , I have came here on Engineers visa my jawazat is green ticked . I have valid iqama also. But lately SCE people have rejected my application for spelling mismatch. The membership is valid on the website But have not gt the certificate. Will this be a issue is transfer of iqama or validating it's expiry. Plz comment. If anyone else could reply it would be great. Hi bro , i passed out in 2018 and got my degree in 2020, now I'm working in a good company, can I apply for SCE, and also having my attested documents.

@snjkhan yes it is ,other wise you will get a different provision. even when you renew your iqama,your SCE needs to be renewed

@RedTrumpet You are wrong . He can not get iqama till SCE membership .
