What is La Liste?
La Liste is a restaurant ranking platform created in 2015 by French gastronomic journalist Antoine Ribaut. Their main objective is to provide an impartial, data-driven assessment of thousands of restaurants worldwide. Their methodology is based on an algorithm that aggregates and analyses sources of reviews and opinions from professional gastronomes, such as gastronomic guides, press reviews and online review sites. Each restaurant is assigned a score based on the quality of its reviews and its relative ranking compared to other establishments.
La Liste quickly gained recognition by publishing its first ranking in the year of its creation, which included a list of 1,000 restaurants from around the world. Since then, this ranking has been published yearly, available on their website and in a mobile application.
It is a valuable resource for expatriates who are passionate about gastronomy. It allows them to discover new quality restaurants in their host country, offering reliable and reputable recommendations.
