Getting Visas in Ecuador

Written byJosephon 07 September 2010

First, do not be afraid of the Visas process.  It is only a process of providing documents, getting them notarized , sealed and sent to local government/state government.

There are several types of visas and which one you get depends on your particular needs.
You can get investment visa, company visa, retirement visa, and many others.

The trick is to get good advice and get with the "right" attorney. I personally have had bad experiences with lawyers in South America, I have lived in South America for about 5 years.

When you know what to do, it is a simple project. Get help, dont be cheap, get good advice before you decide on what Visa you need and who will do it for you.

Ecuador is a great place to live and retire to. But this is a different culture with "totally"different rules, be prepared like the boy scouts say.

Good luck, Joe www.live-in-ecuador.com
