We lived in Rincon the whole time our kids went to school in Mayaguez. The commute is not that bad. 20 minutes each way, and we lived in Cruces of Rincon. There are a lot of kids who commute to Mayaguez from Rincon, aguadilla, Cabo Rojo and ... Read More

To Nyerger: We moved from Alaska to PR with a son going into 8th and a daughter going into 11th. We checked out SESO, WALKS, and Immaculada (all in Mayaguez). While SESO is a very good school, my kids did not feel it was a good fit for them. We ... Read More

I agree with Hector. I looked at over 80 properties before purchasing the home we are in now. I didn't stick with one realtor. If I saw a house I was interested in, I called the realtor who had the listing. I would also research their ... Read More

Elementary schools in Rincon by purplesugar

What English, bilingual, or private schools are in Rincon, or very close? I am aware of Without Walls Academy and plan to check them out in the future, but wondering what other options there may be.

I have heard great things about the school in Aguadilla. I would definitely look into it. As for the commute, you learn patience and short cuts very fast. I drive my son everyday to Mayaguez. With the road construction, it takes about an hour ... Read More

Red lights can be treated as a stop sign from 12am to 5 or 6am. Otherwise you can get ticketed. Be informed if you are going to drive on Puerto Rico. This is not the United States. Read More

Living where you are is difficult. Life on the west side is much easier. We have been here 2 years, and while there are things we dislike, the pros outweigh the cons. The people of Puerto Rico are some of the nicest you will ever meet. They are ... Read More
