Video games shops in Bangkok? by MaikHH

I haven't seen any dedicated games shops like back home or as e.g. in Japan. Looked around but I only found shops selling 5 years old computer games or outdated copied games and they only have a very small range to choose from. So does anyone know ...

Eric

Block unwanted text on pre-paid by rajjozy

I bought a prepaid sim card at airport. I keep getting iritaing sales messages off and on. How do I block them here in Thailand. In many countries they have DND(Do Not Distrub) service, is there something similar here. Locals please suggest.

Eric

That irritates me also! Unfortunately I never heard of someone who was able to turn it off. Are the messages all send from the same "number" or does that differ also? (I always delete them asap, so i cannot compare) Read More

Siam university- international students by Chinowe

Hi every one, I am considering to start studying international hotel and tourism management at Siam university. I would like to get in touch with some SU international students Because I am curious about their experience. I hope to hear from some!:-)

Eric

Send an email to the university and ask them for the contact information of some of the international students. Most universities will be more than happy to provide it (downside is that you have a biased group since they will all still be students ... Read More

Open a bank account in Thailand by guatem

How hard is it to open a bank account in Thailand, and what will i need to do so??

Eric

You can get it if you enroll at a school and get ED Visa. I think it's the easiest way.The easiest way to open a bank account is to enroll at a school to first get an ED visa, and then open a bank account???? That seems to me about the hardest way ... Read More

You might wanna consider going to Pattaya, Dennis James trains there (or at least used to train there) in a gym owned by an Australian national champion if I remember correctly. In BKK there are many big commercial gyms, especially in the center of ... Read More

Visa Runs by Mark Write

Hi Thailand, i have been here 6 weeks now and thinking of buying vans to do visa runs. Please give thoughts positive and negitive. Thanks Mark.

Eric

Yeah, a bit more information might help. Just buying a few vans doesnt do it, since you also need to drive them, need to know where to go, get customers, etc. So your business plan is seriously lacking information to form an opinion about it. Read More

Getting the visa at a later point should not be too much hussle, just a trip to the foreign afairs ministry and they can convert your tourist visa to an ED visa. (thats what they told me at least at another university where I just started; ... Read More

Khao Yai National Park by LSWRArt
