Pets are an integrated part of families, and people will generally consider relocating them as a first option. Note that it is imperative to check the requirements as early as possible, as some vaccinations and tests should be done at least three to four months before traveling to Oman. 

Most of the time, when securing a job in Oman, your employer will provide you with health insurance, but it is optional, even if the government is trying to force all companies to do so. Depending on the company and the position, it can be very basic or up to international standards. It is imperative to make sure what is provided covers you properly, along with your family members if you have any with you.

If you are relocating to Oman, it is important to understand how transportation works in the country. Generally, Oman is still very car-centric, with most expats and locals preferring the convenience of traveling by car. Trains are still to be developed, but bus services have been implemented during the last decade.

Expatriates tend to prefer to drive in Oman, as public transportation isn't fully implemented across the country yet. Moreover, many of them are not provided with transportation from their company, so they will have to commute daily to go to work. Depending on their position, expatriates are not always allowed to drive company cars, so they ultimately tend to buy one when they can afford it.
