AHPRA attestation and stamp in Sydney, Australia

Post new topic

Omar Tafilos

Hi Folks,

I'm currently in the process of applying for a work visa to Saudi Arabia from Sydney, Australia.

One of the requirements is to get AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)  to "stamp and attest" the medical report which is basically to confirm the GP who performed the medical is registered and qualified to do the examination; or get the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade DFAT to stamp and attest it.  I know there is an online database of all GPs in Australia and their rego numbers etc, so I have printed this page for my GP and asked him to stamp it just in case I cant' get AHPRA to stamp the report for me.

Does anyone have any experience doing this? any tips would be very much appreciated!

Hi Omar, I was wondering if you had any luck with your inquiry?

I am also needing AHPRA to attest my medical, but have now been waiting for more than a week for a response from my email, and no one is returning any phone calls.

Regards

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

I have got in touch with AHPRA and they confirmed to me that they are no longer providing services to the public apart from their on-line registry which you can use to enquire about any GP in Australia.

So, I have printed that page (Google AHPRA GP registration) for my GP and he got it stamped and signed, and I checked with VFS Tahseel in Sydney (I had to go to the office because they don't reply to email enquiries and their contact number is not reachable!) and the lady confirmed to me that they'll accept it.
