Limitations for working near my old employer

Sir.,   

I am  Ligeesh from India. I am living in  Al Khobar.

I worked as an AC spare parts salesman for 12 years in al khobar.The profession I had in my iqama was marketing executive.  My final exit date is March 25th 2022. On August 14th, I came in with a new visa. Fortunately, I was able to find a job near my previous workplace. My profession is now salesman in my iqama.  Someone informed me that my old employer would block me for working near my old workplapce in the same field.  Would it be possible legally to do that?.

If your previous contract had a NON-COMPETE clause, then you can't work with the new employer for at least two years.
