@Louma lou First and foremost, since all teaching in Singapore is conducted in Emglish, do you speak English at a near-native level? You also need relevant teaching experience, probably at least three years.

There is no scope for teaching English as a second language, because all Singapore students are already fluent in it. So which oher subjects are you competent to teach?

Then, there are two kinds of schools in Singapore: Public and Private.

Public schools require an educational university degree that is recognised in Singapore. It helps if you also speak one of the local languages (Chinese, Bahasa or Tamil). Job vacancies are filled through the Ministry of Education (MoE), whoch you could contact for more information.

Private schools (many of them international) have different requirements, but typically not lower in academic terms. There is no school where speaking Arab is an asset. For more information (and to apply) you need to contact the schools individually.

i do have a near native english level. I do have 3 years of teaching experience In my country  I teach English as  Foreign language and that is my specialty. My question is how could learning any of the local language help me ? Otherwise thank you for the info you gave me. It is of a huge benefit.

@Louma lou As I said, there is no demand for teachers of English as a foreign language in Singapore schools. All private TEFL teachers are freelancers, and that route is not open to foreigners.

Speaking one of the other official languages (besides English) would help with getting hired for public schools - but only if you can teach subjects relevant there.
