Can a tenant cancel a lease early because the landjord is refusing to install smoke alarms?

Cheryl

Hello Tongesai,

That's a good question here.

Have you checked if there is anything written in your rental agreement that says you can or cannot do this?

Where exactly do you live in Belgium?

Cheers,

Cheryl

Close to nothing in most places. The cost probably isn't worth the argument.

You can buy smoke detectors from action in 10-20 euros
