Question about paid leaves in belgium law

Post new topic

Exinbe

Hello All,

I'm new to belgium, I need some direction please about annual leave, this is my first year working here, as I know that in belgium law the annual leave cannot be carried out or paid out, meaning that unused days will be lost at the end of the year, but I have received a very confusing email from my employer that contains these statement : "if you still had vacations days or recuperation days to take they have been deducted in this month pay creating for some of you a lower salary as usual as well as less meal vouchers." does this mean that my salary can be reduced because I did not take all my annual leaves days ? can this happen in belgium ? please give me some directions

Thank you in advance and happy new year
