Hello.I am Sébastien (another one ). I'm coming from France to settle with my girlfriend who is living in Bucharest. At the moment, I am not a "real" expat as my time is split between France and Romania but my plan is to improve this situation with time .For the moment I am facing the situation of a newbie arriving in a new country without knowing anyone than my girlfriend and some work mates so any advice is welcome regarding website to find houses or apartment (yeah with my arriving we need to upgrade this as well. I already followed recommendations from previous posts to see what was the menu on the olx.ro platform), how to build my network (any expat / french people / others... communities I can access?). As I said also I don't have any expat contract yet and I know that jobs with expat status are getting more and more complicated to get (at least in my company) so I am also listening to any opportunity that could help me being more present in Romania, but allowing me to keep my french benefitsGlad to meet you allBest,Seb

Hello everyone !

I have been thinking about moving to Romania for one year. I don't know yet if It will be in Cluj or in Bucharest. Everything will depend on professional opportunities.

I will make  an exploration trip in April-May 2024  for around two weeks.

I hope to be able to settle definitively in Romania at the end of August 2024.

I am a psychologist, more precisely Performance specialist.

I am thinking of creating a structure in this field.

I also want to teach econmics and management in french.

I would be very happy to exchange with you.

See you soon.

Buna Prieteni,

British expat here currently residing in London, UK but plan on relocating to bucharest late december. I have most things already sorted out. Just a few bits here and there left to do. I'm very excited as it's my first time moving to a foreign country.

I'm no stranger to Romania and have visited Bucharest on many occasions (absolutely love the place). The foods are fresh, the culture is vibrant and the people are lovely. I hope to make many acquaintances and hopefully network with like minded expats.

kind regards
