3rd Term Ban to register students

Post new topic

fmarquezhks2020

Hi All,

I am planning to move to Doha, in March/April with my family and register my kids in a school then. However, I've been told that the Ministry of Education is not allowing schools to register foreign students during the 3rd Term (March-May). So forcing people to register for the new year term.

I am still waiting for my working visa, so it will take longer to get the family residency so they can enter & go to school. Did anyone have such a situation that can share a piece of advice? Many thanks in advance.

Hello fmarquezhks2020,

Welcome to Expat.com 1f601.svg

Thank you for asking this question here.

It would be good if someone could confirm whether parents need to register their children for the new year term.

Hopefully someone will clarify this for us soon.

All the best,

Cheryl
