I have read many articles and this seems to vary widely.

Many articles say it is 9-11% of your income - so if I make $50,000 as a consultant (remote work) and have return on my investments of $50,000 does that mean i have to pay $9 -11,000. Then on top of that i still need to buy private insurance to avoid lines and get private doctors and hospitals. Currently more than my wife and i pay.

All the expat budget articles say to budget $100 -150.

Which one is right.
