Iqama/Insurance for expat mother

Post new topic

Vaithiyanathan

Dear Friends,

I have my mother living with me in Saudi Arabia under visit visa. She is physically dependent on someone to take care of her. My wife is here with me under dependent IQAMA, is taking care of my mother.

The Main problem I am facing right now is my Mother's insurance. She does not have a fully covered insurance like the one that I and my wife has. After contacting most of the insurance companies, I learnt that the regular insurance can be obtained only if you have IQAMA.

Therefore I want to know how to get IQAMA for my mother, the main reason is to get her proper medical insurance.

My happiness is entirely depending on my mother's health condition. Thanks to God, I have a very supportive wife who is taking care of my mother just like her own mother.

Even though we are not feeling secured because of mother's age and health condition. I am ready to pay the reasonable amount of insurance premium, if my mother can get a insurance like any of us.

I know how most of the religion taught us to care for our parents, yet Saudi Arabia is not providing IQAMA for parents easily, but they give IQAMA for our wife and children. This is really a surprise and shock to know that this is happening in this holy land.

My peace lies in the Healthy & Happy state of my Mother.

Please help me brothers/sisters 🙏

As you know, there is no standard process to get Iqama for parents.  It can be done but your sponsor has to get involved and use their influence, if any.   There is absolutely nothing you can do yourself from your end.  As mentioned above, you can get an international health insurance on pay and claim basis but that will be very expensive for older people.
