Flights between islands

Hi guys,
I am trying to figure out how to get from Sal to Boa Vista. In the BestFly website I see some schedules, but no direct connections. So, according to their info, I would have to do something like:

3B440 SID-RAI 18:45 19:35 0:50
3B441 RAI-BVC 08:40 09:15 0:35

3B436 BVC-RAI 11:00 11:35 00:35
3B439 RAI-SID 12:35 13:20 00:45

Am I missing something?

No. You're not missing anything. There are no direct flights between Boavista (population 10.000) and Sal (pop. 25.000).

BestFly flies through Praia (the hub) because that's how they fill the planes (over half the population of CV resides in Santiago). There's almost no one flying between Sal and Boavista, so there's no economic reason to connect the two directly (except by ferry/ship).

Hi, I’m trying to book return flights between Praia and Mindela (30/5/24, 07/6/24) on the Bestfly site but receive Error 15 with a message saying there are no flights for my chosen parameters. The flights were chosen from the schedule on the website.

We have already booked return flights to Praia from Dakar and need some help understanding how to sort out the internal flights.

Hi Peter,

BestFly, a private airline, is slowly going out of business. They had been shut down for about a month recently. You don't want to book flights with them as they are constantly being canceled because they are down to one plane, and it is often being pulled out of service leaving passengers stranded for days.

BestFly is now being superceded by the national airline, Cabo Verde Airlines, which has restarted its domestic connections with several aircraft including their international Boeing planes which often connect islands on their incoming/outgoing international flights. They also have the smaller ATRs which do the domestic routes. So use their website to book flights between Praia and Mindelo.
