Hi Everybody!

I am a romanian citizen living in Hungary. I am currently searching for a job (Finance field) in Abu dhabi or Dubai. Almost 2 months passed but I did not even get a call..
Somabody who lived there said that if I don't have a local mobile number, just a foreign one then I don't have any chance.

Is this true or I have chances with hungarian number too. I cannot afford to resign from my current job and travel there. I know this would be the best option but I cannot afford it financially:(

Thanks in advance!
Tamás

HI there,

Well i don't believe this is true.
Even though if you can't afford coming even just for 1 week as vacation and you take the chance to apply here directly which is best and faster, the minimum i can advice you to do is to get the contact numbers of these companies and keep on following with them from close. You will loose nothing in following up from there, they will see that you are interested and if you get lucky so you book a vacation trip for interview and you meet them live.

Good luck anyway :)

Hello Tamas,
A lot of Romanian here in UAE working in different fields all over the UAE.
The best way to get a good job more faster to be here and apply then make the interview.
u also can apply online and u might get something if they need ur skills but it would be more slow and late.
you can come here using visit visa 1 or 3 months, also u can come by tourist visa 1 or 2 months.
I think it will cost u something like 850 US$ depends to the visa type and time.

I have to agree with them.. Confidence is key.. Being here physically is an advantage. Keep your heads up and good luck.

I try to stay motivated, thanks for the help.
I contacted yesterday 7 recruitment agencies. 3 of them said that I should apply for jobs and if I am a match, they will contact me. Okay , I knew that...no big news... but I tried
4 of them gave their email addresses and I sent them a letter with my Cv included. One of them promised that she will call me on Sunday. I will contact a few more agencies on Sunday.
I am prepared for the worst and I hope for the best.

If I will succeed I will contact all of you there.:)

hi beo1329, this is not true...

regards.

Hi jeubin!
What's not true?

Hello
two weeks ago i was in Abu Dhabi for an interview all expenses paid by a big company. If your CV is what they are looking for then they will call you (the big companies)
Regarding smaller companies its harder for them to call an out of country candidate.

All I do is keep sending CVs all over the place!!!
This is what my short experience in the matter tells me

Hi Stefano!

Thanks for the advice. I do the same as you, but nobody called yet.
Patience:)
