Alyusr car lease defaulter

Post new topic

Hello expats, I was in Saudia from 2016 to 2021 (5 years). I travelled to my home country Pakistan for two months on Exit Re-entry visa in January 2021. The incoming flights were banned by Saudi Government for 10 months till December 2021, therefore, I could not return to Saudia to rejoin my job. My sponsor kept me waiting for all these months and told me to return when flights resume. I trusted him and stayed back, though I tried to come back via third country, but alas, there were some passport issues with me as well which took 11 months to clear. Meanwhile, I had a car from Alyusr on lease which started in September 2017 for 5 years and my sponsor paid me the instalments which I forwarded to Alyusr as the car was on my name. When flights opened in December 2021 and I contacted my sponsor yet again, he told me he was closing the company and urged me not to return and he would pay me extra money as compensation (which he never did) and he wanted me to transfer the car ownership to him through Saudi embassy in my country, I had only one month so I sought help from my relatives back in Saudia but they couldn't help me find a new job, so I did not return. My sponsor is still running the company (he surely deceived me, I felt nothing dubious when he bid me goodbye for 2 months, he must have had grudges against me for some petty issues / complaints and he played me like this). My iqama was valid for six more months when I left saudia for 2 months. Saudi Government is also responsible for what happened to me as they should have bound their motherfu*ker sponsors to renew iqama for those employees who remained stranded because of ban on incoming flights.  Anyhow, I refused my boss to transfer the car ownership. Therefore, due to non-payment of instalments, Alyusr took possession of the car and filed case in Saudi court which gave decision against me and now I'm a defaulter and have to pay SAR 16,000/- to Alyusr. Now I have a job offer from UAE, please tell me will it be safe to go to UAE as surely if I ever visit saudia again they'll take me to jail right from the airport, but, Alyusr also exists in UAE. So please give me some advice. Thank you

UAE, there should be no issues. Unless they file a case against you there through their branch. But they would have to know that you are in the UAE so keep that to yourself.

On your other point, Saudi Government did renew Iqamas for expats stuck outside whose Iqamas were expiring.  And they did that for 3-4 months, free of cost.  Not sure why yours wasn't done.

@XTang thanks for your response. Yes, Saudi Government extended my iqama 3-4 times starting from March 2021 to January 2022. The problem is that when I left KSA in January 2021, my iqama was valid till July 2021. Whereas, they gave only 2 months to come back to Saudia in December 2021 and did not bind their Saudi kafeels to extend iqamas of stranded employees for at least 6 months. My sponsor not only saved one year salary, he also saved my iqama renewal fee + return ticket and lied to me that he was closing the company. He didn't want me to return and didn't allow me to change my sponsor company. I had only one month and didn't find any feasible opportunity so I stayed back. I would have tried my luck if I had been given 2-3 months to change sponsorship by coming back to KSA against the wishes of my Saudi sponsor and such issues must have been looked upon by Saudi Government when closing and reopening flights for the iqama holders and so called Islamic Courts before giving verdict in my absence and not knowing what really happened to me
