Are we able to renew our vows ?

rubelle

My wife and I are planning to renew our vows on the sugar-white beach of the Stags' island.

My wife is a Returnee and was born here. We intend to spend the rest of our lives in idyllic Mauritius.

We are both committed and legally married.

Our question is whether we are allowed to renew our vows given that Mauritius prevents its citizens from enjoying gay sex and is fiercely opposed to same sex marriage.

Is there any other penal code in Mauritius to stop us from renewing our vows?

Your help is much appreciated.

Hello Rubelle,

We are not specialised in legal matters and I doubt members would be able to provide legal advice or confirmation of any kind.

We commit to providing infos about expatriation. As far as your request is concerned, you should ask a wedding planner or organiser. If you want to renew your vows in a hotel with beachfront etc, feel free to contact the hotel of your choice and ask them.

Or ask a professional : Lawyers in Mauritius
