I leave Medellin on Tuesday after 2 months here, can someone tell me if I have to pay some kind of tax when leaving. I’m returning to UK, thanks

The airport tax should already be included in your airline ticket look it up it shoud say exit tax on it, if it doesn't they will tell you at the airport where to pay it there.

Lodging tax.

It is my understanding that non-Colombians

on tourist stamps are exempt from the

18 or 19 percent lodgings tax that citizens

are charged at hotels and other lodgings.

However, Hotel Dann Carlton Belfort -- through

a third-party site, Agoda.com -- collected

the lodging tax on my five-day stay last week.

Now I am in the process of seeking a refund

of the tax that was charged to my Visa card.
