Question: Are there any nice quiet beaches in Punta Cana that is not for all inclusive hotels? I am going to be looking at apartments there and want to know if beach access will be possible if in a private home not directly on beach ? Thanks

@polo1club I would like to offer you to stay with us in Cap Cana. We are located in the Marina area. You can enjoy the private beach you are looking for. . We are found oceanfront. If you would like to try another beach, I recommend Juanillo Beach, it offers beach service/restaurant and a very private feel with an owners/Airbnb area. Cap Cana also offers an array of restaurants for you to enjoy , if you want that upscale private area come visit and stay with us. Find us  in Instagram as *** ,and Airbnb, ***.

Los corales in bávaro Is a nice area, locals, public access to playa Los corales/turquesa. It’s not the nicest , but you have shops, bars and supermarkets nearby. Although there are all inclusives not  far, you get more of a local vibe, and you’ll also come across expats and locals that work in the area. I purchased an apartment last year that was in construction in the area that’s finishing up soon , I think there’s nothing but growth for Los corales.

@calvinfromwilliamsburgh Sounds great thanks. Yes I am looking to live there but I know sometimes there are no nice beaches for locals. Just want a place to layout and not be bothered too much with people selling me a million things! lol

Macao is a public beach, uvero alto is a nice beach. Cabeo del torro is an excellent beach, and Playa Blanca are all beaches open to the public and not restricted to hotel. Although Play Blanca and Cabeza Del Torro may require a purchase which I always do. Also Api Beach and Juanillo beach in Cap Cana are also open to the public once you get registered.  None of these beaches have the hawkers  EXCEPT Macao and a little bit at Uvero Alto. None of the others have I ever been bothered with buying anything

In Bavaro, you can look into below in the order of preference:

1) Stanza Mare Apartments (in Bavaro, found both on AirBnB and Booking.com) Very nice experience.

2) Los Corales (in Bavaro, found both on AirBnB and Booking.com) equally good, less expensive with a little bit of lesser privacy.

Both of them are right by the beach within the apartment complex. Fully furnished apartments available..

I used to love Macao beach in 2019 there was not a single hotel there.   By 2021 the Dreams Hotel was there, while very nice, its sad they allowed a large business there.  I have not returned although I am in Bavaro now.  I will have to go look and visit sometime soon. This is a public beach like all of them here, although its very hard to find the entrance or get parking these days.

Juanillo beach in Cap Cana is the least populated and never once have I seen a vendor there.  They make it very difficult to enter there with security gates not allowing entrance unless you live there or work there, or have a pass.  I lived in that area for awhile. Nobody bothers you there.  Mostly wealthy people who have moved into the area or people visiting from USA/Canada and Europe.   Cap Cana has an app you can load on your phone.  I have android and from this app you can get a pass to enter there or go to a restaurant there.  Its not necessary to go to a restaurant.  Check it out, see what you think.
