Good morning,

I'm Swiss and I'm planning to move to Arusha.

Can anybody help me telling me the important things that I should consider ? First of all, immigration permits, etc.

In terms of accommodation, how much does it cost to rent an apartment or house in Tanzania (Arusha) ?

What are the usual costs of public transport (bus, metro, train, tram, taxi) ? What is the average monthly cost of electricity, gas, water, internet, insurances, telephone etc. ? Are there problems related to water, electricity or other services that have to be considered ?

What is the average price of the monthly food basket ? How much is necessary to cover all expenses, monthly living in a middle class level living alone ?

What about leisure activities ?

Hope that someone will be able to help me to start learning about the practical aspects to consider.

How much you will spend will depend on your taste (preferences) and quality of the products or services. What kind of accommodation would you like? A valid passport and visa are required thus an Invitation letter is necessary.
