@dalvirsandy123

its already nine months. why dont you contact the immiration through email or phone?

Kwannius

Applied on 8 september

Registration on 6 november

Still waiting but I think this is normal. I'm prepared for the worst and telling to myself that this process will take 6 months.

I'm going to my wife to celebrate the New Year together and will stay there until mid January.

After our meeting, max 7 weeks waiting...

dalvirsandy123

@dhpsrn31

Soon i will complete 10 months . I asked to many time by email or phone but every time i got same response like you have to wait .  Because actually process is approximately 9 months but if they asked extra documents then the process is automatically longer ’they said ’ .

dalvirsandy123

@Kwannius

But what i think its depend on luck or secondly on the mood of immigration office . There are lot of people here who  got theirs results with in 4 or max 5 months (EU National) and 8th month (non EU) .

Kwannius

@dalvirsandy123

I agree. Luck is a big factor.

Preparations of the file is of course the most important part.

It's also very new to me, all this process...

All I can do is, trusting in the process.

As I understood, they must make a decision within 6 months in my case. I'm getting tired to travel constantly just to be together...

We traveled 9 times just to be together in a period of 2 years all around the world. And I'll never used to to say goodbye at the very last day. It's emotionally very tough, after our trip we always have a dip, depressed.

All what I'm wishing for is just live together, building our future and making our dreams come true.

I really hope the coming trip is the last one that we have to say goodbye again on the last day...

Hello everyone, on Monday I received a letter in my mailbox from ibz asking for additional documents for my spouse's family visa. They requested my salary statement for my husband. They asked me to send it via e-mail and I sent it on Tuesday evening. There is no change in my situation now. The Dofi website still says waiting for additional documents. I applied on July 14th for the visa. I have seen people waiting for a long time despite submitting additional documents. This worried me.

dalvirsandy123

@Kwannius

Its really good idea that you are trying to stay connected by travelling.

I also desperate to see my husband so thinking to go back to home country after new year if  my file will be under process.

dalvirsandy123

@dambada

In my case its same like you . They asked documents on 18oct and i received post at my home in brussels on 24oct and submitted documents by email on 25oct . But till today its written same status like waiting documents . When i asked them about that then they said it will stay like this till result .

dambada

@dalvirsandy123 It's really very worrying. I don't know if they got my email or not. Did they get back to you about that? I hope yours will be concluded positively next week. Christmas holidays are coming and if it takes longer, it will be January.

dambada

Evekash Dhamija

Hello

anyone knows what is the meaning of this message.

we got an update in our file.

In afwachting ontvangst van documenten die de visumaanvraag ondersteunen en die door de Belgische diplomatieke/consulaire post per diplomatieke valies verzonden wordt.

Pending receipt of documents supporting the visa application that will be sent by diplomatic suitcase by the Belgian diplomatic/consular post.

please if anyone can help would be great help.

Hunny Bini

@Evekash Dhamija when did you apply ?

Evekash Dhamija

Hi

i applied in june and file sent to DVz in aug 4

Izca

@Evekash Dhamija

Hi if I'm not mistaken it means they need some documents to clarify your situation and support your submitted documents, and as stated it will be provided by Belgian authority so you dont have to provide any additional documents for now.

Hopefully all goes well for you and your family.

Evekash Dhamija

@Izca thankyou for your response.

really appreciated !!

Kwannius

@Izca

I think she will get notification from dvz (for spouse) or from embassy (for applicant) by email or letter to provide additional documents.

I've got the same message and I had to provide additional documents. I've got message from dvz.

Dvz will direct to spouse who's in belgium.

If dvz needs more documents of the applicant (foreign country), dvz will sent request to the embassy and the embassy will request to the applicant.

For example:

If dvz needs additional payslips of the spouse in belgium, they will request to the spouse

If dvz needs for example birth certificate or criminal record, dvz will request to the embassy and the embassy will request to provide these documents to the applicant to provide these documents to them. And the embassy will send these document by diplomatic suitcase to the dvz in belgium

Just wait until you or your husband get notification which additional documents they want. These notifications can be either by email or by letter.

Evekash Dhamija

@Kwannius

thankyou.

they need the marriage certificate however we applied on the basis of legal cohabitation(Samewonen).

my partner was in Belgium before we married as a Hindu tradition and we signed for the legal cohabitation here in belgium last year 16-12-22 and she had to go to India to ask for the family visa.

I am a refugee and I can't go to India, please if anyone applied on the basis of legal partner document ?

kind regards

Evekash(He/him)

Hunny Bini

@Evekash Dhamija oky in that case just send them of your country register marriage certificate with translation and required attestions

Evekash Dhamija

@Hunny Bini

we were not legally married in India and we marry each other as a Hindu tradition(Ritual marriage).

the immigration department knows everything about us but don't know why they are still asking for it.

on the website of IBZ it's mentioned that spouse/registered partners can apply for the family Visa.

the main thing is that our partnership is registered legally in Belgium not in any other country.

we provided tons of proofs which shows that we are real couple also we showed our marriage photographs and videos..

we are really worried now what gonna happen. :(

Hunny Bini

@Evekash Dhamija did you mentioned anywhere in documents  that you guys are married only triditionally ? If not then simple email them about the actual situation that your family reunion case is through in a relationship status ..

Evekash Dhamija

@Hunny Bini

No we didn't mention this but immigration department have our file since 2019 and they know that we married as ritual marriage and when they didn't recognise our marriage then we sign the cohabitaion contract.

I don't know why they make so many complications for the couples..we are not together since a year now

Kwannius

@Evekash Dhamija

I don't fully understand..

Your partner was in Belgium already and you were living together officially. So I suppose that your partner had visum to stay in Belgium.

Your partner had Residence card or something?

Poolnoodle

So we are still at batch of August , that's upsetting

Izca

@Poolnoodle

To be honest no one know how it works. They say they work chronologically based on application date.

But as we can see in this forum, thats not always the case.

Kwannius who applied in September already got accord, while Hunny Bini who applied in August is still waiting.

Some could say the difference ise because EU citizen and non-EU, but in other thread we can see someone from India got his visa less than 3 months. So its a complete mystery.

I personally just try to keep a positive mind.

Im happy everytime I see someone got his visa here, because it means one step closer for me to get mine.

Evekash Dhamija

@Kwannius

okay i try to explain.

I was an afghan refugee in India and was living there since i was one year old.I married an Indian girl according to the Hindu rituals in 2018 Dec and in 2019 we came to Belgium and asked for asylum here.my application was accepted because of my refugee documents from India however my wife got the negative decision as they said you have no marriage certificate and they denied to accept our tradition marriage certificate after the fight of 3 years we managed to do the legal cohabitation in Belgium but they said that she have to go back to India and ask for the family Visa from there as it is not possible from Belgium because i am not a Belgian Citizen.She was living on the orange card in Belgium. She went to India and we asked for the visa with the legal cohabitation certificate and now they are saying that give us the marriage certificate which is not even possible.Please see the link which i pasted below it clearly says that legal partners can also apply the family reunification.

Hunny Bini

@Izca yes no one know how they work .. i give them each and every documents and everything thing is okay from salary to house etc .

but still i am waiting and seeing people gwtting response in less than 4 months . i am happy for them who got reaponse at least can be with their loved ones ..but at the same time it gives me thought about what is going with my case why why why what is the reason .. they did not consider a single case from August .. in whole month of dec they just do july and sep .. seriously what is wrong with them i don't understand ..

Hunny Bini

@Poolnoodle no not even August .. as far as i know they did not start doing work on August files beacuse i have not seen anyone got anyupdate on August .
