Decision- in Processing

Nayan Lama

One of my friend she recently got visa for her husband it took her 5 months and she is non Belgian. and she applied on December 2022 and got visa for her husband on April 2023. So i think it's not about belgian and non belgian i think it's a luck.

I have two other friends who got visa for their husband in 6 months and also they are non belgian. Thank you.

Abena ne

@Nayan Lama yes i think is about luck , but i applied in march and i wasnt even sent my file number , i had to write them to get it and after still not even registered , 5months now and still know nothing , so i guess is luck than they working on dates of files they said

Nayan Lama

@Abena ne

Good luck i hope everyone gets their good news asap.

Here in Belgium now it's now summer time so i think it will take more time but they will still be working but the proccess will be little slower than the normal days.

Abena ne

@Nayan Lama  thank you  , then i guess the waiting game will be long since am african , they dont work from dates as they stated , they just pick point on what they want to work on and take thier time with the rest of files .

dalvirsandy123

@Abena ne

That’s why the processing is irritating. Even we don’t have any clue that they are working on which files of which month. If there is clear procedure then everybody will be satisfied and got the results on more or less same time period.. As i was just reading the posts on the top there’s someone who registered on dofi on same date like mine but already got results in june. May be the process was super fast because of citizenship. God know’s .

Abena ne

@dalvirsandy123 it is really confusing , if they said they work on the dates then every dates should be the same from all countries applying ,the procedures arent straightfoward , in this entire thread only 4 approvals i have seen , i do understand they work on thier own time atleast work on the corresponding dates .

dalvirsandy123

On the basis of that approval’s i was thinking that they are finally working on registered april files . But we will sure about this when someone new will post his/her timeline. Till we can’t do anything better then just staring on dofi’s site 👀

Nayan Lama

@dalvirsandy123 All we can do is wait there's no ther option sadly 😓😓😓

Abena ne

@dalvirsandy123 i have been starring at dofi website hoping to see my file been registered but nothing 🤣

dalvirsandy123

@Abena ne

Hope you can see your good result directly ✌🏻.. Good luck 🤞🏻

Abena ne

@dalvirsandy123 thank you and hoping same for you ✌🤞

Congratulations 🍾🎊🎉

Abena ne

@netvirpret101 wow congratulations , march 20 and you already got an approval , am happy for you sis , what was the additional requested ?

Abena ne

@Spencer Gee Gold what about yours ? You still dont have an updates yet ?

dalvirsandy123

So its sure that they are on month of May registered files .. but what about us ? Am still not understanding the process .

Abena ne

@dalvirsandy123 honestly i dont understand it all , how i applied 17th march and still dont know anything , so if my file gets registered in august then i will have to wait september/october for thier decision

Spencer Gee Gold

@Spencer Gee Gold what about yours ? You still dont have an updates yet ?
-@Abena ne

Nothing yet, still in treatment and now I’m beginning to worry because I submitted 28th February, how come I haven’t gotten my visa up till now

Abena ne

@Spencer Gee Gold have you written to info desk ?  Me myself am confused on how these files are supposedly been treated

Spencer Gee Gold

@Spencer Gee Gold have you written to info desk ? Me myself am confused on how these files are supposedly been treated
-@Abena ne

I have written to them series of time but all they could give is that blank flat response they always give.

dalvirsandy123

Seriously i don’t have any clue now . No idea what should we have to do ? If these timeline’s from UE nationals then you guys must treated yet . i know i am not national yet but for you as well its too long process compared to others.

Abena ne

@dalvirsandy123 am just confused , we would have to wait till end of july or first of august to see how it goes , maybe just maybe it will be registered since am from africa

Abena ne

@Spencer Gee Gold you should let your wife Op0 call them maybe she would get a direct answer from them

dalvirsandy123

@Abena ne

yeah you are right lets see till august . Am already completed 5 months and just fingers crossed 🤞🏻 from now . But in your case am really surprised but i don’t think so the countries matter? That if you are from africa that means the process will be slow or different?

Abena ne

@dalvirsandy123 well because i wouldnt understand till now we never heard anything even for the file number , we had to write the embassu to get and they said they dont need anything now or will lets us know at the end of process which that part i dont understand , after that atleast it should be registered by now with ibz , i just dont understand how they are jumping on dates

dalvirsandy123

@Abena ne I think you file is registered already because it will never take that long to register any file but yeah may be still you don’t have right tracking number. But what i think that for sure your file is under process aswell .

Abena ne

@dalvirsandy123dalvirsandy123 if it is registered they should atleast upload it , because i saw on here people who applied through the embassy i did got it registered in a month and thier process took about 5months plus and they were requested additional information, so i guess we have to wait to see end of july if it will be registered

Abena ne

Hey everyone my file got registered yesterday and my visa application date has now been changed from 17th march to 20march , says in treatment , If a file is still being processed or if the file has not yet been processed because the documents supporting the visa application are being sent by diplomatic suitcase, the date on which the visa application was registered by the Immigration Office will appear as the date.

additional info2:    In principle, the decision is sent on the day it is made. However, it can sometimes take several days before the diplomatic or consular post actually receives the decision., what does it mean ?

dalvirsandy123

@Abena ne

Oh finally something great to hear.. Now your file in process like others.

These two paragraphs are just extra information that they are providing. I think this is same for everyone and for me as well ..

Abena ne

@dalvirsandy123  oh okay , i am nervous and already having anxiety 🤕😕, why was my date change ? Am scared

Spencer Gee Gold

@Spencer Gee Gold you should let your wife Op0 call them maybe she would get a direct answer from them
-@Abena ne

I guess I already told you that she had called many times and they didn’t pick up not until last week that she called and they pick and said that the processing takes 6 months and that August 28 is the latest my visa results can be and that we need to have some more patience.

Abena ne

@Spencer Gee Gold i didnt see where you said it my bad , ok august 28th

Appiah63

@Abena ne Great to see you got your application updated. On your last sentence, it means that when a decision is made in Belgium, it is sent on the same day to Abidjan but it may take several days before they or you are notified

Abena ne

@Appiah63 oh okay thank you , hoping for good news 🙏

Nayan Lama

@Abena ne

Congratulations finally some good news . I Hope that you get visa asap.

Abena ne

@Nayan Lama thank you 🙏

I mailed the info desk on Friday and surprisingly they replied me a direct message saying thus:

Sir,

LOS 12345, art 40

We've got your application on the 28.02.2023.  The treatment will take six months.

With kind regards,

Well I have planned not to mail them again.

They always say 6 months, and most of the time they take 4.5 5 months, never complete 6 months btw, yeah it's better not to email them again or they'd be annoyed now

Oh yes, I’ve made a decision to desist from mailing them again until my visa is out.
