ONCF - First Class

Post new topic

Hello everyone!

Just a quick one, has anyone travelled from Marrakesh towards Meknes first class on the ONCF train? How was the experience? Is the cabin air conditioned? Any pictures?

I went from Marrakech to Rabat, first class is just 6 seats in a compartment as opposed to 8 in second . Enjoyable journey in either class

It's air-conditioned but you get the odd cabin that has a door that won't stay shut or someone wants it held open.

You have random people sitting on seats that aren't theirs.

It's not first class like you think.

It is like a standard train, like any other train. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed

@aishahm Thank you for the reply! Yeah, not expecting much as long as it's not over crowded. I have actually decide to go from Marakesh to Rabat and my family will collect me from there so it will be slightly shorter a journey.

The trains are clean. First class- nothing spectacular, 2nd class nice and comfortable.

Just a quick update for anyone else looking for information on the trains.

The day we arrived we went from Marrakesh to Tangier by train. Marrakesh to Casablanca was by ONCF first class. The train was packed but comfortable.  MAKE SURE YOU CLOSE YOUR COMPARTMENT DOOR as AC is very weak! We changed trains and went from Casa to Tangier on the Boraaq first class (New high speed train), it was very good! Very quick! Very comfortable! Total cost for two of us 1050 MAD.

Return journey was from Meknes to Marrakesh. ONCF first class. We took the 8am train as we knew it would be empty. First class carriage had about 10 people for the first 3 hours. As it was empty, I would say a good journey! Cost was 650 MAD for two.
