Hello All:

I am just curious is any Oneness (non-trinitarian) style churches in Egypt? The only churches I can find on google is orthodox or trinity style churches?

Just wondering.

Thanks in advance.

*Oneness Christianity for those that don’t know is—- Nontrinitarianism is a form of Christianity that rejects the mainstream Christian theology of the Trinity—the belief that God is three distinct hypostases or persons who are coeternal, coequal, and indivisibly united in one being, or essence.

No only trinity or mosque. If your interested in the practice of the One God, go to a Mosque.

I am Ray from Ireland. I am married to a beautiful Egyptian woman Asmaa for 11 years. I have spent a lot of time in Egypt over the last 12 years, cumulatively maybe over 3 years in visits / holidays. Egypt is a fabulous place and it's people are friendly, courtesy, welcoming, generous and have a great sense of humour. They have an ancient heritage and were studying mathematics and astronomy when your and my ancestors were rooting in the dirt and throwing stones. I have never experienced any crime or trouble in Egypt. It is a very secure and safe place with a very low crime rate. Egypt recognises officially 3 religions Islam, Christian and Jewish.

The Egyptian people are very tolerant, probably the most tolerant in the MENA countries. However if I were you when you come to Egypt I would never discuss religion. Egyptians are a devoutly religious and conservative and proud people and expressing views about or contrary to their religious beliefs will (not may) be met with hostility and probably extreme prejudice where you will end up badly hurt or in prison or dead or all 3 in that order. You may be given the fools pardon (not having a clue and stupid), if you meet the right person.

So short answer keep your mouth tightly shut in respect to religious beliefs. Egypt is an independent country with it's own laws and customs and and as with any country must be respected, "When in Rome do as the Romans do" you will be treated with great respect, so return the favour.

Lean into the culture and enjoy the fabulous people, food, sights, sun, sea and hospitality. I guarantee you will have an wonderful time and great memories.

One final point they are Egyptian and not Arab.

P.S. Ditto in relation to your views on politics and the Army ... Red lines. As we say in Ireland a shut mouth catches no fists.

Kindest regards

Ray

I am moving there and I am trying to find a local assembly to worship at. That is all. Nothing more or less.
