Which schengen country should I apply for tourist visa ?

Hey,

What is right Schengen country to apply tourist visa nowadays from Saudi Arabia as I am a resident and working here in company. Which country is providing on good ratio accepting applications. I will apply in this month June 2023 from jeddah city of Saudi Arabia.?

If you guys have experience regarding this please share your views. Thanking.

Some people say directly applying to Portugal Schengen visa is being rejected from Saudi Arabia. So ask some travel agent. Have you applied for it?

It's been years since I applied for a schengen visa (since I got my other passport which allows for visa free travel) but from my past experiences, there is no best embassy as such. Some are said to be overly tough against some nationalities eg France etc. But if you have a good travel history (to western countries) and finances, most embassies are receptive.

As far as Portugal is concerned, a colleague of mine, Pakistani national and a senior manager with 80k plus salary, valid UK and US visas was rejected without reason. So make of that what you will.
