Visiting China Setting up an online business

Post new topic

xavieruk56

Hi everyone,

Now I was told that I could set up a business in China, but I was thinking, perhaps set up an online business teaching English online, and have this as my business?

I don't have a degree but I have 15 years of teaching experience. you understand  exactly what I mean?

  1. come over as a tourist, apply to setup a Business
  2. Then work as an online English teacher, and pay the business this way?

I hope that you understand what I mean?

Thanks

i taught in china for 14 years and left in 2021. The Chinese gov’t is much more strict now with diplomas, credentials, teaching certificates, etc, because there were too many people with fake credentials infiltrating the teaching field.

honestly speaking, the gov’t won’t allow a start up business to anyone who is not fully-qualified. Sorry to say…

if you do it totally legally, I strongly doubt that the gov’t will accept without proper qualifications.

cheers,

@whygorun

In order to teach to any group, adult or otherwise, the person giving the instruction will need to be fully- qualified, that is for sure.

@Lmflmf1

Anyone can set up a school, etc, but for purely instructional purposes, the person delivering the course content needs mandatory legal certification.

@whygorun

For the expert certificate, the person needs to provide legal and current diplomas, certificates and authorization, or it will be refused by the gov’t, it is extremely strict now due to previous abuse.

@Lmflmf1

If you set up any type of school for teaching purposes, you will need full qualifications:  Minimum Bachelor’s degree, teacher certification, etc..
