A friend of mine is married to an Indonesian and the wife is the sponsor of the KITAS. The marriage is not working and the guy left Indonesia and the KITAS expired whiles he is still outside Indonesia. Now he wants to come back on a company sponsored KITAS but the wife sent a letter to the immigration department that she did not issue an EPO to the man so the man cannot process any new KITAS. Now, the man wants a divorce and requested for the EPO. The lady has refused to grant the EPO and also refused to renew the KITAS.
Now his new company says if by the end of the month he doesnt sort this out with the wife, they will give the job to another person.
This is like slavery for my friend and I want to know exactly how he can get around this. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
