Hi Guys

I am currently on EP. I have a question on PEP (personal Employment pass).

If i apply for a PEP and get the PEP pass successfully. Does that mean i cannot go back to EP in future? Appreciate your reply.

The reason i am asking is i am expecting my job position will be impacted soon as my company is going through headcount reduction. So quickly want to apply for PEP which will give me 6months atleast to be in Singapore without job.

I think it's better for you to check with MOM directly.

Ther is no restrictions if you are under PEP, you can’t work under EP in future.

But PEP is one time only, it won’t be extended.

Note: If your PEP is expiring, you will need to get an Employment Pass or S Pass to continue working in Singapore. You do not have to cancel the existing PEP for your employer to apply for the new pass.

@surya2k

Thanks. I am currently on an EP. As much i understand if am successful with the PEP. Then i need to surrender my EP pass. Is this correct ??? or can i hold both the passes??

surya2k

You can’t keep both. Your EP has to surrender  because PEP is a sponsor free pass and doesn’t need your employer’s sponsorship.
