hi All, my wife and I are Canadian citizens with me also being Polish citizen. We have been coming to Spain for the past 16 years, starting at Marabella and every year moving up the coast towards Valencia. We go to Spain in winter time for 3 to 6 months and this year we are looking at Cullera. There are conflicting reports of how dead the city is in winter time. I would like to have some info on life in Cullera from someone who lives there. The city looks like it would be nice and relaxed in winter time.

does the city roll up the sidewalks in winter time and hibernate until spring? It doesn't look like it but so many people who visited there say it dies during the winter.

I lived in Cullera from Sept to end Nov last year.  The weather was sunny but cool and windy.  It is a functioning town, with proper Spanish people (!) living here all year, running their businesses and doing their hobbies.  Many shops were still open, and though many restaurants did close some were open.

Apparently through July & August Cullera is madly busy with tourists, many from Madrid.  Parking is horrendous.  But there's lots going on.  Hope that helps.
