CPR Registration in Copenhagen

Hi! My name is Mabel, and I'm moving to Copenhagen in mid-august. I'm struggling with all the theme of the CPR registration. Can someone give me their advice?

I'm thinking to book a hotel for 30 days for me and my husband, however I'm not sure if I can register a hotel address for the CPR, during that time the company that hired me will help to find permanent accommodation.

Honestly, I don't have the budget to pay for anything temporary for more than 1 or 2 months. I have checked airbnb, Movinn, zoku and LifeX, everything is too pricey for us.

Does anyone have any other recommendations? I will be forever grateful!

Thanks!

Hi Mabel,

It's okay to register at a temporary address for the first time, but as it may be not all hotels or hostels who will allow you to register, ask about their politics regarding this.

Unfortunately, it's the time of the year when it is still tourist season and the students come to Copenhagen for studying. Therefore, you all will look for a temporary housing, which the market may be short of.

It may be easier to find something outside Copenhagen. Depending on where your company is located, there might be much more available outside Copenhagen. Housing prices are generally high in the capital area.

I understand that it isn't uncommon that  Airbnb hosts offer a discount price for longer stays, e.g. https://www.airbnb.dk/rooms/4641134?adu … 5b803c01b3

If the company will help you with a more permanent housing, will it not be possible that they will also be willing to find you a temporary housing?

Hey, as far i know it should be fine to register CPR with a hotel address as long as the hotel agreed for that. I have seen people from my org to do that before they get permanent address.. But i guess you need to proof you stay with a proper visa that shows your long term residency along with job contract. Feel free to reach out to me in case of any further info..

@Nellie Berg Thank you Nellie for your nice reply. The company is helping with long-term accomodation, but not with short-term. I have looked for other possibilities, but most of them don't offer the CPR registration or are only for 1 person.

I'll continue looking and hopefully find something.

Thanks again for everything.

@adityaroy Hi adityaroy! Thanks for your reply. Do you know which hotels? I have asked in Zoku, CPR is available to register but it is way too pricey for us.

I will really appreciate your help on this.

Thanks,

Mabel

Hi again,

You could also take a look at dba, the free ad paper. Choose boliger, lejeboliger, lejebolig, but to avoid scammers only concentrate on the ads where you find the stamp MitId valideret. If the landlord is a company, you'll find the equivalent stamp CVR registreret.

You didn't write where in Copenhagen you are going to work, but here is an example:

https://www.dba.dk/2700-3-vaer-lejlighe … 103840654/

To rent for 2 - 3 months. 10,800 kroner plus electrixity.
