I need a lawyer

Hello everyone

I hope this message finds you well. I am the founder of company, a startup that has been approved under the Startup Denmark program. My colleague and I have submitted our residence and work permit applications to SIRI, but we are experiencing significant delays in receiving a decision.

I submitted my application on 9 September 2024, and my colleague, submitted his application on 2 July 2024. Despite being informed that the processing time is typically one month, we have not received any response from SIRI even after several inquiries.

In addition to this delay, I am concerned that removing one of our team members, who was originally included in the startup approval, might affect the approval of our residence permits. He decided not to relocate to Denmark, and his permit will automatically expire on 17 November 2024.

As the time to launch our business is critical, I am seeking legal advice on the following:

1. Could the removal of one member from the team impact our residence and work permit applications?

2. How can we expedite the processing of our applications, given the time-sensitive nature of our startup's operations?

3. Are there any potential political or external factors that might be contributing to the delay in our application process?

I would greatly appreciate your guidance on how to proceed, as well as any steps we could take to ensure that our applications are processed in a timely manner.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

Best regards,

Vahid

Hi Vahid,

I understand the background for your question, but I cannot see what a lawyer could do for you why I do recommend you to ask SIRI.

https://www.nyidanmark.dk/en-GB/Contact-us

1)    Whether it is of no importance or not, SIRI shall know of every change in your situation.

2)    SIRI cannot give preferential treatment.

3) I cannot imagine any such things.

If you google lawyer startup foreigners, you'll get some hits about law firms.
