I'm a 71 yr. old US citizen. I'm hoping to travel to Philippines next year. I have a misdeamenor from 1999 on my record.

It is a crime of moral turpitude.

I will be traveling with passport only, and once there, I plan to marry a Philippino citizen. I hope to be able to remain there indefinitely.. My concern is having to have an NBI background check.

I would really appreciate any knowledgeable advice on how to stay in the Philippines.

NBI clearance does not check nor does it have access to any past crimes in another country.
