Moving to Reunion soon as a non-French Speaker

I think you'll be able to easily adapt as you are not alone. Your boyfriend will be there and his family as well !

You will find there are many people of Indian descent in Réunion Island, but they are french/creole speaking. As soon as you start learning/talking a little bit of creole and french, I have no doubt you will easily make sone friends.

Do you plan to look for a job ?

@Bhavna Hey thank you so much. It is really encouraging to know that I can have a life there. I already have a job as I work as a Freelance Content Manager. I do need to learn the language. Are there any French-speaking classes in Reunion?

Where will you be located ?

L'Alliance Française (St Denis) offers short language  courses but depending on the region you will be located, you might find some language classes as well by local tutors.

Which part of India are you from? Cause here, people are from Tamil descent and culturally very different from modern India. It's also sometimes confusing when you see someone who looks Indian but to whom you can only speak French, but you'll get used to it! I do recommend you start learning French though.
