UK Visa with Italian residence "ricevuta" renewal

Buongiorno,

I'm currently residing in Italy (Indian passport) and currently in 3rd year PhD in Milano and have applied for renewal of my Italian residence permit and have a "ricevuta". My Residence permit will expire on September 19th. I'm considering applying for the UK's Global Talent Visa. Has anyone gone through this process with a similar situation?

A few specific questions:

Were there any complications in using a "ricevuta" as proof of residence in italy when applying?

Any other tips, experiences, or resources you could share about the process?
