It's my understanding that to qualify for the investor visa, you have to show a fully legal and registered company with ongoing operations and income, tax returns, and properly registered and compensated employees.

They also will accept  that it is in process but yes all those things will need to be provided at one point!

I have seen people post on other forums that buying a house in the DR qualified them for residency.

Buying a house is not supposed to qualify anyone for residency. In a corporation or not.

Maybe they had a great lawyer?


Others have posted correctly that the investment has to be in a valid , real, running actual business.
