I have searched the web and apparently this is the correct site to request but the fields are impossible to fill out for a foreigner.  Anyone know the correct link to get a background check for visa extension in Brazil?  This one does not work: https://antecedentes.dpf.gov.br/anteced … s/certidao

09/12/23 Try leaving "Naturalidade" and the scroll-down menu below it blank, and see if it will accept your input.

@abthree there is no scroll down that appears.  It also doesn't have scroll down for orgão emissor etc and if I try to type in it doesnt have enough characters for Policia Federal.  Also my american passport doesn't have a series number.  Are you sure this is the correct link for foreigners?

I found and filled out this link: https://esaj.tjsp.jus.br/sco/abrirCadastro.do

Would this work for the Digital Nomad visa renewal?

This is the form for the State of São Paulo.  You'll need this if you've lived in São Paulo, but you'll still need the federal one, and one from any other state where you've lived.

09/13/23 @vetemently  That does seem to be the only federal site.  Try filling in the information that you have (e.g, your passport number) and leaving blank the information that you don't have (e.g. passport serial number) or doesn't apply to you (e.g. naturalidade -- birthplace in Brazil).  Identification document should be your CRNM, if you have one.   If that doesn't work on Chrome, some government websites work better on Firefox, so try that.  If neither works, you'll need to visit the Federal Police.

I had issues with that form as well. I sent a e-mail to certidaocriminal@tjsp.jus.br and they replied with the PDF document attached. Include in the e-mail full name, dob, and name of your parents.

That link seems to be for the estadual. The federal (for SP): https://web.trf3.jus.br/certidao-regional/

Here is another page with the links for each location: https://www.gov.br/pf/pt-br/assuntos/imigracao/declaracoes-e-formularios/certidoes-criminais
