Good Day

i would like to find out if i qualify for application of citizenship by descent.

My great grandfather was born in mauritius and buried there.

My grandmother is still alive and i do have a copy of my great grandfather, grandmother and fathers birth certificates.

Welcome on board !

A person born outside Mauritius is a citizen of Mauritius under section 20(3) and 23 of the Constitution if either of his parents is a citizen of Mauritius by birth.

So, if either your father or mother is Mauritian by birth, you are eligible for citizenship.
