Good day. I am a non eu citizen and i dont have papers here in belgium. My boyfriend and i wants to apply for a cohabitation but the lawayer said that even if we pass the proofs and evidences that we are living together and have a relationahip, the commission will still reject our application. Is it because that i am illegal and doesnt have residence permit?? Please explain or if u have other options let me know. Thanks a lot.

@Mazikeen SmithTrue, if you are illegal in the country it is difficult to be legalized. Because you have not followed the emigration rules, even if you now want to show a relationship with an EU citizen, your relationship will be considered a fake relationship , it may take a long time and cost several applications because they will accept it
