Traveling to Mauritius while your residence permit is in process.

I applied for my mother's residency permit in Mauritius in June 2023, and we haven't received any updates from the immigration office yet. They informed us that she can stay in Mauritius while her application is being processed. My concern is about her ability to travel outside Mauritius and return during this period.

Specifically, I'm unsure if she needs to obtain a tourist visa for re-entry or if the receipt indicating her residency application is in process would suffice. I'm inclined to believe that re-entering Mauritius won't be an issue since the immigration authorities have all her details.

However, I'm worried that the country from which she departs may not accept the receipt as valid documentation for travel. Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Any advice would be appreciated.
