Hello everyone

I have recently ( June 2023) graduated from medschool in the Philippines and currently doing my Post-Graduate internship year which will end by July 2024. I'm not from the Philippines, I just graduated from here. I'm Sudanese

I'm considering Saudi Arabia for residency training . I'm aware of the data flow process however, I have came across several post from people saying that an Iqamah is needed inorder to complete the dataflow process. Is that true? Also I would like to to know if I can sit for the SMLE if I'm just on visitor's visa ?

Thank you

Hello!

Let me try to save your time by telling you that it is a waste of time to come to KSA as a foreginer to have your residency. I graudated too from the Philippines and came here thinking the same thing, only to realize later that foreginers rarely get accepted into any program, and if you ever did, you will be asked to work for free because the ministry of health only supports local residents in their training.

I’d advise you to take USMLE or PLAB exams as you have a better chance at entering a reisdency programs of your choice.
