Inviting parents to Germany

Hi, I would like to invite my parents to Germany. Should I get 2 Verpflichtungserklärung document and invitation letter for both parents separately? Has anyone have experience in this regard? Kindly let me know.

You don't mention the intention of the visit; immigartion or limited tourism. For a tourist visa officials like to know one has the financial means but usually don't require such a document. But there is no standard pathway for parents to immigrate. A family reunion visa is for a spouse and/or minor children, not for parents except in extreme humanitarian cases.
