Born in Kenya. Living in Uganda and would like to find opertunity to retire in zanzibar. I am 70 yrs and time to hang my boots and try to enjoy quiet 

Serene life hopefully.

I am trying to find a town house around quiet beech neighborhood and need some expertise advise.

Born in Rhodesia ( now Zimbabwe ) but at this stage working and living in Johannesburg

i have also worked and lived in Mozambique - Lake Cahora Basa and then later on in Balama ( just north of Pemba )

My son who currently works on a yacht off France wants to buy a business in Zanzibar and then i want to retire there and then work for him.

will be flying there in abt 8 weeks to do my research but hope to get advice on this forum

Greetings Watanzania.  I am a native Ugandan living in Norway for some time now. I must admit that i am in love with Tanzania and her polite people. I visited  Mkoa wa  Kilimanjaro recently and traveled to surrounding areas;  including doing a wildlife safari to Tarangire National Park.  I plan another trip pretty soon and would like to get in touch with the locals, and expats of similar interests - tour guides, Park restaurant staff, campsite owners, drivers, Kiswahili instructors, air BnB managers,  event managers, musicians etc. Thank you all for your contributions.

Sadly, had to move back to Pakistan due Parent's poor health. Dad passed away, this March.

I am Richard. American, presently living in Las Vegas NV. I am an 81 yr young man with, lots of energy and stay active. I have spend over 20 years living in Asia for my job and after I retired.. I have traveled to over 60 countries and now it is time to set foot in the country my ancestors originated from. Hope to have feet on the ground there In October. I am hoping to meet lots of people and maybe settle down and retire there.

I am looking forward to the trip and hope to meet many people  that can show me around and guide me in the right direction.

Hi to everyone!  I have enjoyed a life living around the world and working in many exotic places , and would like to retire in Zanzibar. I have worked and lived in Tanzania before and am very familiar with Zanzibar as I have visited many times and have some good friends there. I would like to know all of the formalities and requirements I would need. I have visited the Immigration website but this does not give specific answers to specific questions.
